Lauren Hebert, PT, OCS, is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist with 30 years of experience. A native of Dixfield, ME. Lauren graduated from the University of Vermont in 1974. He is currently owner of SmartCare PT and IMPACC Prevention & Ergonomics Consulting. Lauren is the former owner of Orthopedic PT Center of Augusta & Bangor, ME, former PT Director at Penobscot Bay Medical Center of Rockland, ME, former director of Rehabilitation Associates of Milwuakee, WI, former chief PT with University Associates in PT of Burlington, VT. He is a past president of Maine PT Assoc. Lauren has had a faculty appointment at the University of Vermont, has been a guest lecturer at University of New England, Husson College, Marquette, Purdue and the Mayo Clinic. He was a keynote presenter at California PT Assoc, Maine PT Assoc, Mass PT Assoc, American PT Assoc, and World PT Congress.

Lauren is the author of more than 30 books, training programs and courses for industry, healthcare professionals and patients. Among his works are The IMPACC Work Injury Prevention Training Programs, ErgoStretch Personal Ergonomics Training Programs, The Neck-Arm-Hand Book, WorkSmart: The Industrial Athlete, Your Back For Life! and Sex and Back Pain, a patient manual with more than 500,000 copies in print.
